Be careful when using ditra! I have been laying tiles for many years and have also used other systems with great success. They are difficult to break off and several porcelain tiles (12x12) broke off. The tiles were installed a little over 24 before being removed. Out of 65 sq ft, I had to remove and reinstall more than 9 sq ft of tiles because the connection broke during the removal. I also had to cut about 15 of them as they didn't break off. I used 3/16 spacers FYI.
