Edit above: Cateye America now sells these lamps very cheaply because they are (unfortunately) no longer made. For $10? That's half the price of Reflex Auto, which is a very imperfect light. Heck, for $10 (plus $3 shipping) I bought two more! Unlike the CatEye Reflex TL-LD570-R rear bike safety light, you have control over whether it's on or off. Don't be fooled by the Reflex Auto description which says "On/Off automatically or manually". This is utter nonsense. During cloudy, dawn, dusk, and fog conditions, Auto Reflex sometimes decides to turn itself off—with no way to turn it back on. This is never a problem with this manual mode device. All 5 stars from "Old Hippie" at this point, not only for a steady and 4 flash mode, but also for the longevity of the battery. For even longer life, simply use good quality alkaline or possibly lithium batteries. Compare this device to the 1W Planet Bike Blinky Superflash Turbo Taillight. It's just as bright but with more surface area.
