Review on HP Pavilion 21.5-Inch Monitor 22Cwa, 1920x1080p, 60Hz, Adjustable Tilt by Bruce Chinn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good price (for most)

This comes from the perspective of those who play and sometimes edit images and videos. Pros: - Standard widescreen aspect ratio (16:9). - Standard zoom, this was my second monitor and compared to other cheap monitors I've come across this one didn't disappoint. (Some of them are the same size but are enlarged so you don't really get that much screen real estate.) - Gorgeous horizontal viewing angles. There's a sweet spot, but the picture is generally good as far as you go. - Good color rendering. I don't know about the finer details of monitor color accuracy, but it seems pretty accurate right away. Cons: - Terrible vertical viewing angles, such a small viewing angle. At least it darkens the image a bit, which is better than other effects I've seen, but the angle is insanely tight. Potential Compatibility Issues: - Cables exit from the back instead of the bottom. This is probably more standard on thinner monitors, but be aware of the extra space your cables take up behind the monitor. - No VESA mount option. You're using the included stand, period. I care about what makes it right, compatibility issues are minimal for everyday use, my main complaint is the vertical viewing angle, it's bad enough to downgrade my rating to 4 stars, but based on my (very limited) experience I think that I'm satisfied with what I got for what I paid for.
