i bought this with a bit of doubt in my mind. i mean, the thing was $0.20 after all. but since a couple hundred people reviewed it & it still has a pretty high rating, i decided to trust it & bought two.now, i'm a fairly happy traveler in Shanghai, CHINA.ONLY COMPLAINT: THE PLUG FOR CHINA DOESN'T ACTUALLY WORK IN CHINA. (the labeled plug for china is the G plug)i actually use the USA plug for china (the one that looks like two parallel lines, also known as the "A" plug)china uses the A, G, & I plug, so IN THEORY the adapter should work fine with the designated plug. problem is, only the A & I plug is actually found in china.but i'm happy with it b/c I can at least use the A plug in china & there's a surge protector if i forget to buy a voltage converter.it's really easy to confuse the two (converters & adapters)but THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR LAPTOPS especially since laptop chargers have three prongs & China's three-prong outlet is the G outlet, which is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.TIP: do some research BEFORE YOU TRAVEL!to find out:(1) if your plug will FIT; ADAPTER (electricaloutlet.org)(2) if your device will burst into flames; VOLTAGE CONVERTER!
