I have used this kit to make a range of quality belts that fit me perfectly after buying the buckles and reusing some of the leather belts. The rivets are easy to install and the kit includes small, medium (which worked for me) and large rivets in silver and bronze. These are quick rivets, so only one side (the side of the cap) is showable. The included anvil and setter did the trick. Place the flat side of the anvil and the concave side of the setting tool against the rivet head. I used a regular mallet, a few hard taps to ensure a good fit, instead of the mallet recommended in the instructions. Also, I previously experimented with rivet sizes on some of the scraps I punched out to see which worked best. If you're changing or repairing a strap, these rivets will add a professional finish.
