Works great! It's better than using caulk or putty and doesn't have to deal with the mess. I used it when I replaced the water heater in my RV. The "tape" was enough to go around a small hole on the outside of the RV. As an added bonus, the kit also includes 20 1" self-tapping screws. I didn't have to use any screws, I just reused the original ones. After installation, the tape is very sticky but easy to work with. The tape holds tight and creates an excellent watertight seal. The finished product looks exactly as it came out of the factory, there are no clumps or globs of sealant clinging to the corners of the heater. This band is also flexible, I was able to stretch it to get the perfect fit and great look.
