The size corresponds to my opinion
My husband loves this shirt because it's really big and long. He is 6'1" tall and weighs over 300 mainly in his stomach. He fits 3X very well and is his normal size. Not sure about the quality as the shirt looks old after a single wash. But he seems to find it ok.

- I would definitely be smaller here. It's a very nice material and very comfortable.
