I have a dog that loves to dig and chase birds and squirrels and I have a chain link fence that is not secured at the bottom. Putting these things together is a headache! My dog has learned to dig as needed so he can push on the bottom of the chain link and come out to chase birds and critters or just roam around. I used the roll of zip ties I had on hand to attach additional fences of various types to my chain link fence and the twists simply gave way to the fence. I was looking for an alternative and found some velcro straps that I liked because they can be reused. However, I found that they also gave in to pressure from my dog, who ducked under the railing. So I went looking again. I avoided zip ties because they can't be reused, but they're pretty inexpensive so I decided to give them a try and they're AWESOME! I love her! There are a few spots on the fence where even these zip ties stretch out to let my dog through, but still a huge improvement considering the size of my yard. I just had to find another way to strengthen those areas. I'm very happy with them, the price and if they work I don't have to buy them! I also like that if I need to redo a section of the fence I can just cut off the old zip ties and replace if needed.
