I spent an hour trying to install this in a Hampton Bay ceiling fan but it failed. The wire connections in this switch are very loose, making it very difficult to get them to respond reliably. I got it working with the ceiling fan open, then closed the whole thing and it stopped working. I then tried to tape the wires in place but that still didn't work. In many cases the wires produced sparks when I made small movements towards the switch. THIS IS FIRE HAZARD! I've attached a video showing him getting into this state for the third time. I tried both devices switched on, exactly the same problems with both. I will return them!
