These things are great. Once you've used them, you'll never trust those cheap plastic bottles again. Anyway, I've never done it. For example, I drove my camper over one of the yellow, plastic-reinforced ones a few times. It actually almost crashed - useless. I wouldn't worry about running them over in the blink of an eye. They can sink into the ground, but they won't break. I have to agree with some reviewers. When you get them, they stink quite a bit; as a mixture of fresh asphalt, rubber and tar. I left it on my porch for a few weeks and felt better, but after a year of use I hardly notice the smell anymore. But really, when you need it, you're probably surrounded by a bunch of other smelly stuff related to vehicles, so stop crying about smelly stuff. If you are concerned about this, I would advise you not to keep them in the kitchen or living room. They're better than anything I've ever used, except maybe the ones we used in the Navy to suppress F-4 fighters. I'm ordering more now
