Review on Camco Insulator Skylight Reflective 45192 by Dewitt Graham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

COMPLETELY BLACK AND PERFECT COLOR "OFF-WHITE "

At 103 Street at 5:30 p.m.; Tomorrow it will be 106. High temperatures for the rest of the week will be above 103. I bought 4 of these for our MAX vents, 1 with reflective lining, 3 without. I tried both types in the bedroom and the one with the reflective liner COMPLETELY darkened the room. GREAT. The one with no liner barely let the light through. Not enough to wake us up in the morning. The other thing is that both products were off-white instead of off-white and matched the ceiling and vent frame perfectly. A very white coating is visible in the photo of the product with the reflective side. (Think of two switchplate color options for light switches.) None of these products were white and white, which wouldn't match the ceiling or vent frame. Based on a 2 minute test of one of them being stuck in a skylight in a shower with a shower curtain. To bridge the gap, I'm sure these vent covers will improve our energy bills. In just a minute or two the top of the non-reflective pad became HOT and I felt a huge difference in the heat flowing through the screen compared to the pad. Now I'm going to look for a custom sized piece of styrofoam for the skylight in the shower. I also like that the lids are washable. Good product; good price; perfect time. They used to cost about $14 at Camping World.
