I inherited an above ground 30' round pool when we bought our house. The prior owner had a solar cover, however, I didn't realize what it was until my second summer of owning the pool Once I realized what I had, I used the solar cover all the time, which not only raised the temperature of the water, but significantly cut down on the time I spent skimming all the outdoor debris and detritus that blew into the pool.After two years' use of this inherited solar cover, I started getting little blue dots all over the pool The blue dots became more of a problem than the debris and detritus that the cover otherwise kept out of the pool. Yep, it was time to replace the cover, although I have no idea how old the cover was.The new cover arrived yesterday. Given the other reviews, I expected to find a cover that was significantly larger than my pool and that would require at least some trimming. So much so, I seriously considered buying a smaller size.I'm glad I ordered the 30' size to go with my 30' pool. The cover fit perfectly. I had to make two small cuts so that the cover would fit around my stairs, but nothing else. This is a much thicker cover than the inherited one I am replacing. That, plus the fact that it is brand new, makes it a little more tricky to handle, but putting it on was still a relatively simple one-person job.I've only had it a few days so I can't testify to it durability, but the cover appears to be very high quality -- better than the one it is replacing.I'm quite pleased with the purchase. Plus, it came within days of me ordering it. Shipped fast and packed well.
