I was about to buy two new Hunter fans because the ones we had at home lost speed. Couldn't tell the difference between high, medium or low. In fact, after installing new capacitors, the fans have regained their high speed and are driving the air like new. Our area has had several surges over the years due to storms that likely caused the original capacitors to fail. It was a quick and inexpensive fix. If you have the same problem and your fan has lost speed, it's worth buying new capacitors. It took me about ten minutes to fix each fan.
