Review on Progressive Suspension 11 1141 22 5 Spring by Joel Gumbiner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Progressive is best

I have fitted these to several bikes over the years and they are great springs per piece, a much cheaper alternative to new forks. I installed them on my '87 Yamaha xt600 (the front end of which was too soft) as directed and it is exactly what the doctor ordered. Haven't ridden the road yet but I'm sure they will be ok. (Note) I installed new fork seals and cleaned the forks prior to installation. The instructions say how to use spacers which I didn't need and didn't install. Just set the springs and air to 4-6 pounds and enjoy. I weigh about 200lbs, if you are heavier you may need spacers, this is your own setup. But the oboe I mentioned is quite suitable for me.

Pros
  • High quality chrome silicone wire
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
