DO NOT BUY. New batteries first. It does not work. There are NO instructions, but there doesn't seem to be one. Insert batteries and switch on. The second screw (bought 2 packs) snapped off and I can't even open the battery compartment to see if it works. I'm glad I didn't buy them as a gift and wasn't embarrassed on Christmas morning!
