I bought this because after installing a new toilet cistern kit I couldn't adjust it properly and the bolts holding the valve assembly started to rust and I unable to tighten it. I found this valve replacement and thought I'd give it a try. I didn't want to remove the tank unnecessarily. Wow! It worked fantastic! The hardest part of the installation was making sure the tank was clean and dry. Just in case, I made a slightly roughened area with a simple nail file. I aligned the new valve according to the instructions, peeled off the paper and attached it with light, even pressure. I attached the chain to the lever handle (I also bought a new one), cut off the excess and voila, it worked like magic. No further adjustment was required. The first time in 2 years. could put the water tank cover back on the tank and not worry. It's been over 3 weeks and everything is great. By the way, I'm 67 years old.
