Review on Control Company 4371 Thermometer Stainless by Patrick Nepal

This thermometer has excellent accuracy. But that seems to be the only plus. The problem is that it takes a long time to read. I use this for precision when making candy. The texture of candies can change by only one degree. If I want to use this thermometer, I have to keep it in the pan all the time. Otherwise it may take up to a minute to reach the actual temperature. I expected more for the price. If it was a quick read, I'd happily give it five stars. But I'm still looking for a replacement.
