Leak detected at bypass valve on our Ecowater water softener. We ordered a new valve from Revain on Friday evening and received it on Saturday afternoon. It was the perfect game! No new clips were included so be careful not to damage the clips. With the water off, press the drain (or rain) button. It takes the pressure off. Now slide the valve back towards the softener. Carefully unclip the clips on each side and finally unclip the top. Once the clamps are removed, carefully separate the parts. If installing a new valve, loosely thread on the copper nuts before reinstalling the bypass valve, being careful not to twist them. Put the two pieces back together firmly, snap the clamps back into place, making sure all three tabs on the clamps are in place, tighten the copper nuts and you're good to go. It was so easy that it took me longer to write this review. Thank you Rewin! It couldn't be smoother.
