As this is a 3rd party PS4 DualShock controller my expectations of this controller are very different than if I bought the official one. I bought this controller as a spare while waiting to stock up on official Sony Ps4 controllers. This controller did not live up to my expectations and creates a poor gaming experience. The controller itself looks great and I really like the blue and white aesthetic. That's where my admiration for the controller ends. The controller buttons have a lot of resistance, which sometimes causes input to lag and become unresponsive. In my personal opinion, this is a big problem as it severely affects my gaming experience. Nobody wants to lose a game because the buttons on their controller didn't respond or weren't pressed hard enough. The controller's light bar doesn't light up when I plug it in to charge while gaming (I know this is a common problem with third-party controllers). The controller light bar doesn't even light up while charging, so the only way to tell if it's lit is to look somewhere in the console's UI (battery icon). The controller's light bar stays on when you're using the Bluetooth feature, so you at least know if your controller is connected to anything. So far I haven't been able to tell if the battery is good or bad as I usually let my controller charge immediately after use, but I've had sessions that lasted up to two hours and it didn't go off during that time. All in all, you're paying about 50% less than the price of an official Sony PS4 controller and. Well you get what you pay for. This is definitely the way to go if you really need the controller for a short time, but I don't see myself using it for a long time.
