I went back and forth from Crankbrothers' Stamp 1 Large to Chesters to Stamp 1 Small and finally back to Chesters. I liked the big platform on the Stamps when I was learning to ride, but the cleats just wouldn't stick to my mountain bike shoes like the Chesters did after I started riding the rougher trails. They are perfect for my size 10 but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone bigger than a size 12, they might be too tight. Of course, the pins hurt more, but their ability to hold my legs better generally helped me avoid hitting my shins.
