Wisedry desiccant is only really useful for small storage spaces like storage boxes or containers. The desiccant quickly absorbs moisture and turns from orange to green within a few days. It is inconvenient to constantly charge the product. I have a 65% humid environment which makes things a bit more difficult. However, cloth/organza bags are much more convenient to microwave (several minutes) than the desiccant sold in metal containers, which can take hours to charge in the oven. This makes it much more convenient if you have a lot of desiccant packs at home. Another problem is charging pellets in the microwave. The desiccant pellets cannot withstand overheating. When I heated an organza bag for 5 minutes (just to turn it orange again) some of the granules started to warp. Maybe this product works better for people with low humidity. If, like me, you use a lot of storage bins, I've found that it's best to use an electric dehumidifier in the room where the storage bins are located. Pros: 1) Convenient 2) Easy to use 3) Can be used in the microwave 4) Desiccant is effective in drying Cons: 1) The drying effect does not last long in a humid environment 2) Pellets may be deformed by charging for too long ( in microwave)
