When I opened the box and read the instructions, there was a warning to remember to unplug the device during a thunderstorm. That's good advice, but I'm wondering why wasn't there some sort of protection built into the device in case you weren't home when the storm started? I put the block in the whoops, and my phone, which sees the whole street's networks, didn't see that block. I unplugged the unit from the UPS and plugged it into an outlet 4ft off the ground and stood by it and it still couldn't see the network. I thought, ok, I'll get in touch with the manufacturer, because this information is in the manual. Large print, if you have any questions, contact us, but you do not have contact information. I have decided to return it ---------------- I have upgraded my original rating from one to four stars based on the exemplary customer service provided by a member of their customer care team. The rep raised genuine concerns, replaced the unit with a different model, and made sure I got my money back.
