We've had several robotic vacuums over the years, and from the first pong-style robotic vacuum to willy-nilly before this kind bounced and cleaned haphazardly . It's like watching a baby transition from crawling to walking. This actually cleans in an intelligent and efficient pattern, can accurately map my house and give me control so I can tell it where it can and can't clean, schedule specific rooms or areas and I can edit all of those things . The vacuum cleaner itself looks well thought out in terms of design and style. It fits easily under a bed frame or coffee table, and I can empty the bin with no fuss or mess. The battery life seems to be very good. The app is very user-friendly and all control options are easy to find and set. I'd really like to be able to fine tune the room on the map and hope the software updates to give me more control, but I was able to get most of what I wanted through the app. *Update* After using it for a month we still love it with one exception. If we set it to voice and something goes wrong (e.g. it collides with something or has problems with the sensor), it just repeats the problem over and over again. With our other robot vacuum cleaner, it will warn you several times and then shut up. I liked it. Because it's very frustrating when your hands are busy or you're on the phone and those notifications come in and won't turn off. Because of this, I had to turn off my voice. But those are at least the only options we could understand: turn on voice, turn on sound or turn off voice. But otherwise he does his job well and is a strong driver. We have mats on our hardwood floors so our older dog can move around and have no problem with it and you can even see the vacuum lines on it after it's done.
