I bought these towels a few years ago and initially they were very soft and plush. Now that some time has passed I feel like I can write an honest review. I used them mainly for dusting around the house and even kept one in my car. They are excellent for this purpose and are soft enough for the most delicate of surfaces. I really liked that they were inherently static which helped keep the dust on the fabric! Unfortunately and to my disappointment, I only found them useful for dry dust. I've bought many types and styles of microfiber and this is one of the few that doesn't perform well when wet. I've tried using them to clean countertops and bathroom surfaces but they don't have the 'magical' cleaning power of standard microfibers. They absorb liquid, but once they get wet I'd call them an old-fashioned wet cotton mop. The most important thing I want to highlight is that after washing they were never the same. The long fibers tangled with each other and deteriorated after each wash. I wash them the same way I would any other microfiber and it's the same method that the manufacturer recommends on the box. Wash microfiber separately from other types of fabric, wash warm with a mild liquid detergent, without bleach or fabric softener. As with any material, microfiber is expected to slowly degrade after each use, which typically equates to around 100 wash cycles. I have found that shelf life can vary widely depending on various factors such as: B. what you use it for and what cleaning chemicals it comes in contact with. Conclusion - I would recommend them for dry purposes like dusting or polishing. If you need something for wet use and with a cleaner I would look at other options.
