I had two dashcam cables that ended up shorting. Another problem is that I couldn't connect anything else. With this cable I can use an adapter (not included) and even charge my phone. I have more than one charging point, but I have multiple devices. For 3 years this place has been dedicated to my DVR. I'm so glad I no longer have to unplug my phone to let someone else charge my phone. If you are wondering what this connector is.
