It doesn't last! for camera and photo

Before I bought this one I tried at least three brands of selfie stick because I thought I had finally found one that was better made and more durable. This selfie stick is a bit heavier but feels solid in my hand. While other selfie stick buttons have failed, I have no problem with the button taking the photo first. But after a few wire connections and a few wire disconnects, the button no longer works to take pictures unless I turn the phone off and start it again. When I miss a critical shot on a trip, when I have to restart my phone to get the connection working again. My daughter has the same identical Vivitar selfie stick and she loaned it to me during our trip, as did I. mine broke. I broke it at the base of the clips after a few uses. The problem is the wing nut under the clamps that the camera attaches to. I tried to tighten it so the clamps wouldn't wobble and could hold the camera in place. I don't know if I overtightened it to crack the base of the clamps. Also, I broke mine in the exact same spot as my daughter's. I bought mine in May 2019 and it was the first time I used it on my trip in August and it broke in the same place. One thing I liked about this selfie stick is that it can be extended up to 36 inches. I've rarely extended it to this length, mainly because my hands were shaky holding it that far, but it's a good option for men with stronger arms. I also like the design of the clips themselves, but not the neck between the stick and the clips The clip feels solid to hold the camera in place. Except for the neck that holds the clips (where the wing nut is), the feel is a little flimsy, this is a better-made selfie stick.
