If you look at the photos the bayonet has a rib that holds the hose to the fitting when the screw clamp is tightened. The hub mount has no lug. Also, the hose end of the hub is tapered so that when the yoke is tight the hose will tend to slip off the tapered end because there is no rib to hold it in place. Too bad. The fittings are good and strong but the hub is one of the worst I've come across. If you look at the Valterra F02-2028 faucet, you will see that it has the right projection.
