I like that it doesn't take much time. It makes a very good "cold brew", I made a regular cold brew and when it was ready I cooked in it. There was a very subtle difference, the 18 hour brew was a little stronger and of course a heck of a lot more. While I love this machine, if you like very strong coffee, you will make WAY more coffee than usual. That's pretty much all I drink and I've downed 2 1 pound bags in a week. Also, I'm not sure what the problem was. But the last time I cooked something, I poured a full 50 ounces of water into a pitcher and I only ended up with 40 ounces? Never before. I used other coffee. Maybe I didn't sharpen the rays roughly enough? I don't know, I'll cook it today and see what happens. If you have a friend who wants to make their own pot, don't let them use it if they have a "poor quality" compound. Been making coffee since she used folders and now there's that TERRIBLE coffee smell, lol.
