Review on Optimized Cooling Performance for NVMe M.2 SSDs with Powerful 20mm Fan Heat-Sinks by Jose Strong

Installation was very easy, all the instructions are right here on this Revain page at the time of this review in the fourth picture. Even though I didn't have instructions, I'm not exactly sure how it could be screwed up. The fan works great and is quiet, you can feel the air escaping at the end of the radiator. The device is much smaller than it looks in the photos (which is a good thing). As you can see from the picture, even with the PCI-E slot cover, it doesn't protrude beyond the slot. I would normally do some before and after temperature comparisons in situations like this, but I don't really plan on using this m.2 drive for a while so I'll have to go back and update this review. I have personal experience with Samsung 960 and 970 Pro drives and they get very hot under heavy loads. To the point of PCB warping and failure, so I have no doubt this will help. Pros: - Great design - Comes with all hardware and thermal pads, nothing else needed - Quiet fan Cons: - Power connector can be upgraded with either a regular fan connector, a SATA connector, or both. The existing connector is a circuit board that simply plugs into the SATA power connector. - Wasn't free? Update: Temperature testing maxes out at around 55C with the setting in the image. I read online that this SSD throttles at 70C and can go up to 95C without a heatsink, so I'd say it's a great solution. Update 2: I ordered one for my work PC at work, everything works just as well, no problems. Update 3: The device continues to work as expected, there are a few instances where the fan noise gets a bit louder, but I think it's just cleaning. I would still recommend this device for free and the seller informed me that he will continue to improve the quality of the product.
