I already have good steel knives, but recently I came across some credible reviews and chatter on the Internet raving about Japanese cutlery. Decided to give it a try and bought a set of 4. Since they're ceramic, I've heard they're brittle. I bought a round case to keep them away from my other knives. I treat them with care. All in all these are great knives. I first used them to make beef stew. I've never had it so easy to slice a roast fillet. Cutting vegetables was a real pleasure. I always had to sharpen other knives before chopping garlic cloves. Slicing ground beef is super easy, first cut a clove into paper-thin slices, couple light chops and you're done. The best knives I've ever had. Highly recommended.
