Piece of shit! DO NOT BUY!

Bought in December 2019 finally found the time to open and use them. The first knife broke after I tried to cut a watermelon. Then I used another knife to cut open the melon and the knife broke too. DO NOT BUY! THEY ARE SUPER CHEAP AND NOT DURABLE AT ALL!

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Breaks fast at Santoku Knives

These are great knives and I will probably keep ordering. They only last about 3-4 months before starting to crack or chip. This is my second set and my first of 4 knives I've bought broke after 3 weeks of use. If you're looking for a durable knife set, this isn't it. If you're willing to splurge on short-term gratification, they're perfect.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Favorite knife among Asian knives

Very sharp, very easy to return for sharpening and repair. They absolutely snap off the edge of any glass container or plate. I've had them cracked on pizza crusts and pumpkins. Straight cuts, no bends, no touching the glass edges. Increase finger pressure from above for dense foods such as blocks of cheese. Great knives, great repair policy. We have four sets for everyday use.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Chipped after second use

I have a Kyocera knife that I bought from Whole Foods and it's amazing. I was so excited when I bought this set from Amazon, they are beautiful but the second day they used the large size they broke off and then broke off again. Now it looks like little bites everywhere. It still works, but it's dangerous to break! And of course not the quality I expected either. I wonder if black is less durable?

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

This is my second set of knives from Kyocera.

My first set of Kyocera knives lasted over 10 years without sharpening. They were starting to get a little boring so I bought a new set to replace them. Ceramic blades are razor sharp and stay that way for years. Never needs sharpening. Ceramic is brittle, so be careful not to cut the bone, pry, or move these blades sideways or they will crack or break. But if you are careful and cut straight lines, they will last you for many years.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • No instructions

The knives look great and are very sharp. However, they are very brittle - I knew they were brittle, so I was very careful not to use rotational force when cutting. The blade of the couple's knife broke off within a week. The large blade of the knife broke when I cut the mango. These are impractical knives as I was very careful and they broke anyway. UPDATE: I sent the broken knives to Kyocera and got replacements.

Pros
  • Like all others so far
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

Spicy. very sharp Best in Cutlery & Knife Accessories category

I've had one for over a year. it really got up. I don't know how other people use their knives. I don't throw them in the sink and drop them. I love holding my toes! No chips. and the blade is much better than german steel. I have 4 very expensive knife sharpeners and it is very difficult to get all of the knives out and process them. I usually wait until they get pretty boring. this Kyocera ceramic retains its sharpness. really keep the edge. Now I plan to replace all German steel with…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Good to broken - do not buy

The knives worked well until the wine knife was used for the first time a few months after purchase in Turkey. When I finished carving the turkey, I noticed that there were no chips on the edge of the blade. We found several fragments in the bones, which I was able to pull out with my fingertips. Not sure if there might be other pieces of pottery to eat, we threw our turkey dinner in the trash. We also threw away the entire set of 4 knives as I was lucky we saw this before eating and won't risk

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Great knives, you will love it.

I already have good steel knives, but recently I came across some credible reviews and chatter on the Internet raving about Japanese cutlery. Decided to give it a try and bought a set of 4. Since they're ceramic, I've heard they're brittle. I bought a round case to keep them away from my other knives. I treat them with care. All in all these are great knives. I first used them to make beef stew. I've never had it so easy to slice a roast fillet. Cutting vegetables was a real pleasure. I always…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are disadvantages
