Review on MFP laser HP Laser MFP 135w, b/w, A4, white/black by Adam Turczyk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

In general, I recommend buying a B/W laser printer as well, since a similar color one costs 35k more, and there’s really no point in laser color printing, if you want to print photos, take an inkjet LSNCH, but be aware that inkjet ones don’t like downtime. This one I bought in general for 19259r. from the amazon warehouse on January 17, 2023. And this model, despite its compactness, will allow you to scan an image (including in color) and make copies (b/w).

Pros
  • Compact, stylish, prints fast (compared to another laser HP color, which printed much slower even in BW mode). The ability to print something from your phone (HP Smart app), as well as take a picture with your phone and immediately print it out. It doesn't get hot for a long time and doesn't make much noise. The power connector does not stick out at the back, on the contrary, there is a lot of space for hiding the power cords. I have Linux, so I risked that there would be problems, but there are not many of them, with the exception of a couple (I will write below). Drivers are installed easily. Finding a printer on the network is also easy. If the router supports WPS, then you can go to the router settings, enable WPS there, then enable WPS on the printer using a pin code, enter this pin code in the router and voila! As you can see from the photo, my sockets are right behind the printer and I was a little more lucky that the upper element (scanner) seems to hang over the sockets, which makes it possible to attach the printer to the wall as much as possible, taking into account the opening of the top cover of the scanner (i. E. completely tight and will not come out - the lid will not open). In the photo, 1.5 cm from the wall, which allows you to open the scanner cover 90 degrees.
Cons
  • Most of all, I was disappointed that the scanner did not see the computer. There is a HPLIP program for Linux, but it does not support this printer, because. this model is actually a former Samsung and HPLIP is useless for it. I solved the problem like this: 1) downloaded and installed the driver from offsite 2) installed sane-airscan 3) added a printer via localhost:631 specifying the ppd file 4) checked the operation of the scanner with the simple-scan command. And you can also just download the HP Smart application to your Android phone and from there it is immediately saved to . disk, with which the computer is synchronized. The only thing is that it will not be possible to set dpi more than 300 from the phone. And from the computer you can set the maximum 1200. This is a shortcoming. Still, HP could have created good support for Linux, but no. I'll still give it 5 stars because the printer is good overall.
