I bought this bed for my cat's 17th birthday because her first bed was too small and got lumpy. My idea was that a round bed would be more comfortable than an oval bed because it could sleep either way. She did, but instead of taking advantage of the extra space, she tried to curl up against the wall. When she did, she found herself lying with her back foot under the pillow on the inside of the collapsed wall. Here is a bed for two big cats to sleep in together. Like the old cat bed, this one has lumps too, but they're not too bad because she sleeps on a pillow all over the place. What's really a shame is the inability to use the black side because it's always very dirty and even washing the pillow doesn't help. If you still want that bed and you have a brown tabby, get a mocha. I give this bed three stars because Patricia loves it and washing it is as easy as tossing two pieces in the washing machine - no zipper required. I've never considered returning the bed Patricia sleeps in day and night, but thick walls that won't cave in under a cat's weight are now my #1 criteria when shopping for cat beds - and will be they certainly don't have black fabric. .
