Modem does not send despite strong signal

The system has now been installed and running for about two weeks. Setup was easy via the app and started with just 2 nodes in this bundle. Performance was inconsistent so 3 more tri-band Velop nodes were added to provide enough signal throughout the house. Despite a very strong signal, data transfer is inexplicably poor, and even when I'm in line of sight with the nodes I often get some connection speed, and even just 15 feet from a rock face I'm getting less than 1Mbps a 250 MBit/s connection. I really wanted this system to work and be liked, but my spouse is furious with the money I spent on this system and is begging me to bring back the old Apple Extreme Router setup we had and never got on encountered these problems. I'm also seeing problems moving between floors, and while I've tweaked every setting I can think of, I can't get the system to "just work" like the old Apple routers. The app has a report a problem feature, which I've used at least a dozen times, but have never heard a word from anyone at Linksys, so I'm wondering where those messages end up. It may be a great system in not very difficult conditions, but in a large stone house I had unacceptably poor performance. If you don't mind going into settings and turning Wi-Fi on and off every time you change rooms in your house, this system is for you. If I do that, I get a great achievement.
