I have a 6 year old Mini Cooper Countryman with factory fitted vinyl strips on the hood. After 6 years on the New England coast they are cracked, faded and looking very tired. I started by just undressing them but to no avail. Then on to my wife's hair dryer and finally a heat gun with a plastic spatula. The work was time-consuming and I was afraid of paint damage and knife scratches. After searching the internet for the best options, I came across the Whizzy Wheel. I had 90% removed of one of the big bands. It was fast, didn't damage the paint and was fun. Yesterday with 2 fully charged batteries I did almost all the rest of the work before I had to stop and charge. The job seems to be draining the batteries quickly (non-stop). So if I were less lazy I could stretch out the 1/2" cord drill and extension but it was simple, easier and took my time. This creates a lot of dust as the wheel wears out so I would recommend doing it outdoors but I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone who needs to remove strips/foils from a car. My wife pulled into the driveway to ask me a question and couldn't believe how good the car looked without the old rivets.
