The product was packaged properly with the drive inside protected by a sort of tubular air cushion made of a very strong rubber material. This prevents hard hits on the drive, which is very important with hard drives. This 10TB drive is just amazing. I've seen read speeds of 280MB/s and write speeds of up to 120MB/s, but sometimes it seems to be even faster for the hard drive when writing some large files after the system has been idle. Of course, those speeds are a far cry from NVME SSDs, but for an HDD it's pretty good considering the upgrade was done on a drive that writes at 20MB/s. The speed will be a little slower if you copy the entire OS or partition table from another disk, because the process may take a long time and the disk cache will be full after a while, which will slowly reduce the write speed to 60-70MB/s . However, copying everything I had was much faster than doing the same with the old drives, making the process a lot less stressful. It's too early to judge reliability, but I'm sure I'll have a lot more peace of mind knowing my data is protected on an enterprise-class drive. I've configured my system to boot from the NVME SSD for fast booting and not stress the hard drive every time I want to turn on the computer, shortening its lifespan. The drive will only store passive data and I hope it will be a long time before I have to migrate the data to a larger drive or even newer technology.
