I've had mixed results with Revain Basic products. I tried this HDMI to DVI cable because it was reasonably priced and made by a brand I knew. I used this to connect the monitor to a Dell Dock that supports up to 3 monitors. All three connectors are different, so I needed 3 different cables. It was one of those cables. After a few days the monitor started flickering and turning off, so I thought the monitor was blank. I switched the cables to one of my other monitors and it started working fine. I then connected the cable to another monitor on the same docking station and that monitor started turning on and off. I ran out and bought another HDMI to DVI cable and everything worked as it should with no flickering. Incidentally, my docking station uses a USB-C cable to connect it to my laptop, so the cables (other than USB-C) and dock hardly move, which can cause kinking or shaking and excessive cable wear. The other cable worked fine too, including the one I've had for years.
