I remember the CEO of Burt's Bees eating his products at Expo West to show how safe they are. Now that they sold Clorox, no one would. Industrial chemists modified BB's formula by adding aluminum, sodium benzoate, and ammonium glycyrrhizinate. I would rather bleed my lips before using any of their products. It is with great pleasure that I look at a new entry in the natural and organic products category. Sacred Shea offers long-lasting lip protection with only 5 USDA organic ingredients: coconut oil, beeswax, hydrogenated shea butter, lavender and basil oil. Their certification body is a small company called Organic Certifiers Inc. They don't have a client list on their website, but you can email or call them to verify. Taste and smell of 70% lavender and 30% basil. I smell flower buds every time I inhale. The protection remains even after washing the face with soap. I hope Sacred Shea makes other scents as my wife and apparently half of the reviewers here don't like lavender. I would happily buy it for each member of my family. Since it's organic and preservative-free, I'd recommend ordering during cool weather and storing unused tubes in the fridge.
