I bought this pencil sharpener in December 2019 and it has been used infrequently but regularly. Seven months later, the wires in the power cord are exposed and sparking, so it's junk now. I was hoping it would last longer. Update: Support contacted me and supports your product. I'm waiting for a replacement in the mail. In the meantime, I temporarily fixed it with another tape and used it to sharpen 500 pencils to drive school supplies. It was a chore, but not unbearable with this sharpener! Smart little one. Please note that it has an overheat function that will turn it off for a while if you have a lot of pins to go through. Each pen is as sharp as the first.
