Misleading ads. They clearly show and state that you can use this steamer horizontally. The packaging even says you can use it horizontally. After reading the instructions, you will notice that there are several places where it is advised to only use the steamer in an upright position. They even have a special hint telling you not to use it horizontally. So if you're buying it for that feature, I just wanted to point that out in case he changes his mind. The instructions are confusing. They tell you to plug the device into an outlet and press the power button. Later, you will be prompted to turn off the steamer by pressing the power button and the power light will turn off. Another section also states that after pressing the power button, you should unplug the power cord, and then in the same sentence, unplug the power cord from the outlet. First, the "power button" is not an ON/OFF button. It just tells you it has power and flashes when it's heating up and lights up when it's ready. You just press this button to change the vapor speed. Second, there is nothing in the outlet that could turn off the steamer. Third, to turn the steamer on and off, plug in or unplug it. That's all. After trying the steamer once, it works well. Time will tell if it holds up.
