Great alternative to the electronic cone. Just remember to check the wound/surgical site twice a day for signs of infection or poor healing. My kitten had emergency surgery to remove part of his cancerous colon. He was sent home with a cone that was too big for him - he tripped over it and scooped up debris while using the tray. And it wiped all the fur out of his throat. After 2 days we tried Vetwrap and when that didn't work we ordered this and another design. So one liked it best. We dressed him in knee length nylon stockings, with stockings slit in the toe for his head and two more for his front legs (which covered his seams and worked in a pinch) until they arrived the next day. Fits perfectly (size L). He's long and skinny, which is the perfect length for him. It dangles a bit in girth - not sure how well it will work with a fat cat. A good cutout on the back allows free use of the litter box. The suit prevents him from licking or biting the stitches and keeps the wound clean. I like the closure at the back, not the velcro that fur can get caught in. I washed and dried him before applying and hurting his skin - you need to wash off the production chemicals. Made the mistake of using Vulite and couldn't get rid of the smell. Cats are so sensitive to smells that next time I'll use my regular unscented cleaner.
