I was skeptical how much better DiamondClean is compared to manual brushing or even other electric toothbrushes. My dad was in town with an extra toothbrush head and insisted I try it. I only did this to reassure him and I have to say that the cleanliness was so obvious and so different from other ways of brushing that I immediately bought Sonicare toothbrushes for all my family members. I bought the cheaper ones for my daughters because they were the only ones in pink. (Colored items make them happy.) I don't want to mess around with generics and possibly end up with a poor quality product. So let's stick with these. They just work best.
