I would recommend this lighter, it works much better than a regular petrol lighter. Works great even in wind! Well, well, even if I'm blowing it as hard as I can! I'll update as soon as I get a chance to test in real wind if it doesn't. This causes the arc to flash, but it is not a case of "bubbles" like a normally fired lighter, it can also catch fire in the wind. We have it mainly for camping and lighting charcoal outdoors, it works great. I'm tired of having to buy new lighters when my regular lighters run out of fuel. I also used them to light candles at a recent birthday party, the wick of one of the candles was kind of buried in the candle. This made it possible to melt the wax and light the wick in just a few seconds. I also used it to light an incense stick, it lit straight away with no problems. Definitely keep it away from kids as the cool looking arc it creates is a lot of fun (not to mention fire, kids love setting things on fire). Although it goes without saying. The lighting requires two actions: move the slider up and then press the button hidden under the slider. Once you know the trick, it's easy to use.
