Review on Enhance Your Memories with NIX X08C Hu-Motion: 8 Inch Digital Picture Frame with Motion Detection Sensor by Wayne Drakh

I bought this in December 2011 as a gift for my parents who want to keep their technology. Say "Only". The Nix digital frame does the work for that. You plug it into an outlet, power it up with a storage drive, and lo and behold, it's ready to go. My parents can switch between showing a picture randomly or in a specific order. Also, recently they kind of broke this kid's boner. You just emailed Nix Digital Customer Service and shipped the item from a different location. Dad told me it was easy to install and was pleasantly surprised by customer service in terms of quick response and delivery. Here are my pros and cons PROS: Easy to use Nice design Quick to start and run Cool customer service Nice and crisp screen sharpness Cons: If it says it's showing in sequence mode - I was hoping by date. Instead, it appears to be the name of a file. It sucks. I wish it could look at the date of the photo and sequence it from there in some form, MP4 video support - I don't think it has it, although they claim it does. I installed a few and it says "Doesn't recognize the format". I can try to troubleshoot next time I go to my parents house. Does not allow simultaneous viewing of photos and MP4 video support in the frame. I don't think he ever said that, but it would be nice. I think for non-tech savvy people who just love looking at pictures of their family, friends etc, this is a great product. Very easy to use. For people like me who are a bit more technical. Disadvantages of the product do not allow me to buy it for myself. I particularly like that the images are displayed in date and time format as I use my smartphone, my DSL camera and an old Canon to take photos. So to show a sequence by filenames - well that would be completely disabled as the filename prefixes are different from the toys I use. However, a year later. My parents are happy with the product and I am happy with my purchase. I'm just thankful that the helpdesk seems to be there for my parents to contact and not for me :)
