So if you have a pair of new Apple MacBooks with USB-C ports, you must have several of these adapters for mice, keyboards, printers, etc. I have a few more, and I've used the USB ports to connect a flash drive to move a large batch of movies around. The thing is incredibly fast. I think I just moved 6GB in about 10 or 15 seconds. I was amazed at how quickly the files were copied. So if you have a computer with only USB-C ports, consider adding ports with an external adapter. This gives you USB-A, HDMI and an incredibly fast external drive.
