I've just read some reviews of these broken handle vacuums and wonder if people pick up and carry their vacuum the wrong way round. The vacuum cleaner has a carrying handle and should only be lifted by it. I always pick up my vacuum by the carrying handle, not the appliance handle, and having owned this vacuum for a number of years, I have to say that it has never given me any problems. It's lightweight and easy to use and the only thing I sometimes have to do is "adjust" the bag when the red light comes on telling me the bag is full when it isn't. Sometimes it happens within a few days of installing a new bag, so I know it doesn't need to be changed. I found out what was going on and it was cat hair clogging the top of the bag. If I have to remove a lot of cat hair, it can happen because the hair doesn't fall to the bottom of the bag like regular litter. A few days after that, the change bag warning light comes on because cat hair is stuck at the top of the bag, making the machine think the bag is full. simple - but it will come in handy for cleaning the car.
