Weak, heated, the wires are too small. Take it harder

I installed this dimmer on a 3.75 amp bar with 30 LEDs, which is below the rated limit. "Full brightness" on the dimmer was actually dimmer than one step to the left. And then it burned down! I got a second one to try again but it was so hot the metal dial burned my fingers. Trust me, just get the more powerful one from Leisure Lectronics, especially if your current is close to the rated limit. You will also be able to use the correct gauge wire instead of thin floss wire.
