Review on πŸ”Š NOAM NUTV4 - Premium Marine Bluetooth ATV/Golf Cart/UTV Speakers Stereo System: Unmatched Performance and Versatility by Gregory Chaitanya

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It required some minor modifications to my application, but overall a solidly built system that exceeds all expectations!

Great little speaker and AMP package! I installed them on my RZR 1000XP and they are almost perfect. The booster is small enough to fit under the dashboard. However, you'll have to figure out how to mount it if you're looking for a UTV app. I made a mounting plate to match the posts that were under the dash. Overall, the installation was pretty easy. Due to the conditions I will be riding in I have cut off the included switch and soldered/heat shrunk all connections including the existing speaker terminals. However, it is important to provide a switch for the power supply, as this amplifier will stay on as long as power is applied. Pros: The amp is well built. The aluminum body feels solid enough to handle a decent amount of cross-country travel as long as it's securely mounted. The speakers are fantastic. The brackets are plastic, but given the light weight of the speakers and the design of the bracket, I think they would be perfect. I had to double down the rubber inserts on the mount for a secure fit on the stock RZR roll cage. The speakers are securely attached and well seated in the frame to prevent them from being yanked from a stray branch. The controller is good, the rubber surround seems thick enough to withstand some use. Cons: The only downside that bothers me at the moment is the waterproofing on the control board. While the product initially tries to keep out the elements, after a day of riding in a creek about 2-3 feet deep, the board starts to struggle. All of the electronics for Bluetooth and amplifier control reside in this control module. I pulled out the controller and started exploring. After disassembling the controller, I found the problem. There was a fair amount of moisture in the control module. The board is well designed and appears to be waterproof with epoxy spray, but the buttons have a small hole at the bottom to allow air to escape when the button is pressed. This allowed moisture to get on the button, causing my "volume down" button to get stuck. I dried the board thoroughly and applied some contact cleaner to keep the buttons from corroding, then looked for a spot for moisture to get in. Splashing water so submersion wasn't a problem. After a few seconds and a quick reassembly to find a potential weak point, I narrowed it down to a 1/8 stereo jack on the front of the unit. It's basically a hole cut into the rubber casing that allows you to plug in a line-level cable if you're not connecting via Bluetooth. I originally wanted to seal this as it's useless for my bluetooth connection but decided to try the waterproof process instead. I surrounded the socket with a thin layer of silicone caulk and reattached the rubber edge, pressing the rubber into the caulk to ensure it made contact without interfering with the buttons. A small dab of silicone was placed at the end of the connector (on the back of the device) to slow moisture ingress in that direction. I reassembled and checked everything after the silicone had cured. At the moment the device works without any problems. I will test the control board under the same conditions as soon as possible and update if the problem persists. Worst case scenario, I close that plug and the device is rock solid. Conclusion: This product is great for my application. The speakers are 4 inches so don't think you'll be missing out on any extras because of the amount of bass, but the sound is better than I expected for the size. Loud enough to hear while driving. A small modification to the control board was required in my opinion, but I'm not sure you could design a better product to meet the needs of the UTV crowd. I would highly recommend it to anyone willing to try the Taking time to install it properly!
