Review on 🐠 Fluval Multi-Chamber Holding and Breeding Box: Medium - Optimal Solution for Fish Care and Breeding by Pamela Begay

We bought a couple of guppies that happened to be pregnant so I stayed with this breeder overnight. I think the design is fantastic. The bubbler tube keeps the water in the box by constantly spinning it along with the main tank, and as long as the water flow is high enough the temperature stays fairly constant. The gurgling noise reported by some other reviewers is only an issue when the airflow is very high, but the box comes with an air supply valve that can be used to reduce it until it stops making noise (or at least less than the noise from the HOB filter of the primary vessel). I only regret buying the medium and not the large. Judging by the photos, the large parrot has a slightly better arrangement of compartments, which would allow to keep a couple of pregnant females in the breeder, leaving room for young. There really isn't much room for brood in a false bottom environment and after we started getting them at 25-30 we decided to hatch adults and remove the bottom. This resulted in more juveniles being born in the main tank which we had to hunt down and dig up before they were eaten. Although there is no fault with this product.
