Review on Ultimate Protection and Comfort: BELL Stratus MIPS Adult Road Bike Helmet by Michael Glassburn

I had a Bontrager helmet (same class, cost etc. as this Bell helmet) that I had ridden 4000 miles in over several seasons when the plastic supports on the back started to deteriorate during the trip solved . Over the years I've tried every famous helmet except the bell so based on the reviews I decided to give it a try. All in all, I didn't know what I was missing - the Bell helmet fits my head like a glove and is supremely comfortable (I've done four 20-mile rides in it so far in the heat of the US Southwest). The Bontrager helmet was awkward with a much taller profile and something I wore. This helmet looks like it fits the mold in comparison (warning - this depends on the shape and size of your head compared to the helmet so it may not be the same for you). I would rate the airflow and cooling as above average in the heat, but not impressive. All in all this is the best helmet I have used in a long time and I can safely say I love it with four hot rides in the belt. Definitely worth the money in the short term, not enough information to judge durability.
